On the banks of the Fraser River, within sight of Vancouver’s busy international airport and overlooking an existing marina, the form and detail of this hotel and residential complex draws its imagery from these sources. Colors representing airplane tails are splashed randomly on the metal clad façade. At the base of the complex, the amenity pavilion, with its nautical form and dramatic triangulated sloping roof, creates an inviting landmark for passersby on the adjacent riverside walkway.
